Malala's mom and dad were both willing to allow her to write a blog even though it could bring danger to their family - Malala stated, "Many people in Swat saw danger everywhere they looked. Our family didn't look at life that way."
Her family worried some about what could happen to them as a result of the Taliban's decree that they couldn't go to school, and they were fearful of no one --they stated that regardless of what else could happen they had each other!
Her mom was educated and her dad taught school, Malala was very bright as well ---most people in Swat were terribly uneducated….

The award was not a special one and he felt she deserved more
The award was given to only girls who were uneducated and he felt that Malala was educated and the prize should be renamed
He did not want her to be drawn attention to for fear that the Taliban would take note and would target her
In their country, people are not honored in that way until they are no longer alive.
