In this session, participants will review what a team is and what makes teams effective. Participants will also learn about the common dysfunctions of a team. This session will lay the foundation for the three sessions which follow in this teams module.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to describe a team and distinguish true teams from groups of individuals
2. Participants will understand building, participating in, and leading effective teams
3. Participants will be able to identify the common dysfunctions of a team
