Hawks, Peacocks, Doves, and Owls. Which bird are you?
This workstyle assessment will categorize you in one (or more) of the four birds based on your workstyle and personality. Each bird has something different to bring to the table and offers distinct strengths to any team. I am arguing that such assessments are exceedingly useful in the workplace and can allow individuals to utilize their strengths for the sake of the team. Be wary: the intention of the assessment is not to create a world akin to Huxley’s Brave New World, in which the different categories of people are classified Read morein a caste system. The purpose of this assessment is to show what strengths one can offer, and how they can work more effectively with others based on their types.
My internship manager, Brad Krietzberg, was the driving force that got me interested in personality/workstyle typing, as he utilizes such tools in his managerial position. It has opened my mind to seeing individuals with having distinct strengths that can benefit any project, company, or team.
