I was raped by my mother's boyfriend when I was 8 and so my uncles murdered him. I became mute for five years from the guilt.

I have depression and live an introverted life, leaving school as a teenager to live as a recluse.

My father died of tuberculosis when I was 11, leaving us with $8, my mother died of cancer when I was 26, my younger sister died in a mental hospital when I was 55, four of my children died before I did, my wife developed cancer and died of heart failure when I was 64...

I built the hospital I was born in.

I have no friends.

Strong, vivid, keen-witted

Caring, thoughtful, inspirational

I enjoy strolling in the woods and absorbing the nature.

I only write poems. All day, every day.

When I'm not writing, I dance and fight for black rights.
