It's not uncommon for me to do something bad to get what I want, or even just to make money. It's not evil, it's business.

Everything is always questionable in some way, i'd have to ask what it was. Euthanasia and abortion are "questionable", but they are what people want, and I will help them.

I don't need to pry for someones business, if they don't get something bad from me, they'll just get it elsewhere, I might as well make some money off it. Everyone's gotta make a living, and everyone wants something.

Simply not answer and walk away. Letting them get away with it is risky, but you know full well that it's against circle and magical society laws to give any indication that magic exists to normals.

Tell them they're being crazy, yell at them for harassing you, start a scene. Hope that it will embarrass them and put them off spreading any more rumours.

Try to erase all knowledge of magic from their mind, even though you know the long term risks of memory wiping is on normals. You hope you did well enough in bio-magic to pull it off.

Unfortunately nostalgia takes over and after going out with them for old times sake, you wake up the next morning in their bed. They're still asleep. What do you do.

Wipe their memory. Its sad, but you can't be with them and it's kinder this way.

You leave. Maybe they'll feel used or confused, or maybe they'll remember you fondly.

Leave them a note, lying about why you can't be with them.
