Though Jordanians tend to have more conservative feelings about gender and sexuality, the younger generation is much more accepting of individuals who identify as LGBTQ.
Though consensual same-sex sexual relations are technically legal in Jordan, there is still a lot of stigma surrounding LGBTQ identity in Jordan and students should keep this in mind when deciding whether or not to share this part of their identity with Jordanians.
