She always wanted to have a telescope that she could see a comet with so he spends a lot of time building it for her and eventually asks her to marry him the night they look through it.

"IIt's Gonna Be Love" is played when Landon gives Jamie a tattoo in his car and "Cry" is played at the end of the movie.

"You taught me how" is Landon's smart response that he mumbles while walking away, since his dad left him and his mom.

They talk to each other for the first time since Jamie told Landon about her cancer and Jamie says that she's afraid of not being with him. He says that that will never happen and they embrace each other.

Only hope is sung by Jamie in the play and played at the end of the movie by Switchfoot, "You" is played when Landon is driving from his dad's house and crying about Jamie's cancer, and "Dare you to Move" is played right before that when he's running to his dad's house to ask him to help Jamie.
