Created and popularized by the pagan writers/bloggers John Halstead and John Beckett, the four centers of paganism strives to encompass the different approaches and inclinations within the pagan movement. Their explanation goes something like this: Most people will belong firmly in 2 out of the 4 centers, since there is some overlap, rarely in 3 centers and probably never in all 4. This is measured based on how much time, effort, and value a person assigns to each of the four centers described.
There is no right or wrong answer, nor is any one center better than the other, despite Read moreour own inclinations. The truth is that we need a healthy balance of all four within any community in order to function well and continue to grow. Since most people cannot possibly focus on everything all at once, it is a great thing to have this diversity of interests and orientations!
Synthesis between different centers are to be expected, but this quiz can only tell you one result. Take it more than once, changing your answers to fully reflect your inclinations, and combine results. Be honest with yourself!
