The primary aim of this Performance Based Navigation (PBN) course is to explain the concept and operating principles of PBN. It will take approximately 3 hours to complete via self study. Once all course material has been studied a progress check is completed and a Course Completion Certificate issued.

Pilots with prior experience of PBN operations can present the Course Completion Certificate directly to an examiner. For pilots with no PBN experience Oysterair will complete a training sortie which will include PBN approahces and contigencies.

In all cases, an IR proficiecy check with a examiner is required in order to add PBN privileges to an EASA instrument rating.

Special thanks go to PPL/IR for allowing the use of their PBN Training Manual.
