This ACLS & PALS prep course covers the 10 most common reversible causes of cardiac arrhythmias and arrest (H's & T's). It also, addresses heart disease and the treatments that can not only arrest it but reverse it.  This course covers essential knowledge for healthcare providers such as nurses, respiratory therapists, paramedics, and physicians who need to maintain their AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.  This course in conjunction with the NIHE course "EKG for Everyone" covers the prerequisite knowledge needed in order to attend an AHA course.  AHA no longer includes this material in the ACLS curriculum but does require full understanding of the material in these two NIHE courses in order to attend and successfully pass an AHA ACLS course.  These two courses are particularly useful for healthcare providers such as nurses who do not work in critical care and so may not use this information on a daily basis.
