Reviews: What People Are Saying About the Program
Review for Rev. Terri Strong 5/5/2021 All of Kacey's suggestions were incorporated into the program.
1. Include small /short prayers before and after the chapter is complete.
2. The videos are great additions and add value.
3. For longer verses, add explanations and or find simpler versions for kids to understand. Maybe
they could be separated/ categorized by age or grade level.
4. Inform children that mistakes happen in the lessons, i.e. . Jesus knows that we are not perfect.
5. Leave or provide an open-ended question to the viewers/reading audience. Allowing them to
ponder a thought at the end of the day. This could keep them intrigued and wanting to come
back for additional participation and learning and increased engagement. It can also be discussed later at another setting.

Terri -this just blew me away. Such a comprehensive study for parents and I also think for Christian educators. We're finishing Will Willimon's book - The Gospel for the Person Who Has Everything. He talks about the old style of preaching and accepting Jesus. vs. the more modern .You focused on accepting Jesus because you are a good and worthy person and accepting him will truly enrich your life vs. you are a sinner, sick and depraved, which is the old hell fire and brimstone sermon. I can honestly say that in my life as a Methodist I do not remember that hell fire message. Maybe I was just lucky and my parents were truly loving and enlightened parents. Things that I really really liked: mixed media, entertaining to grab attention; Bible based with common secular sense; easy for parents; children and youth activities and participation if parents so choose. The word catechism caught me off guard as a very "Catholic" expression. But you explained it and it was a good fit with what you were teaching. Great job!!!!!!!
