This class will prepare you for the 2018 Permit Technician - 14 exam. Not only will we cover areas needed for the exam, but you will be exposed to knowledge that will be helpful in performing your daily task as a Permit Technician. 

  ICC exams are open book and you have approximately 2 minutes per question. The more familiar you are with the code book the more likely you are to be successful at the test. The following will help you succeed.

✓ The objective of this class is to get you familiar with the book needed for the exam. 

✓ During the class highlight relevant sections of your code book. 

✓ Take notes (code sections) you would like to come back to and review later. 

✓ Practice quizzes (5 or 10 questions) will be given during the class after several lessons. You will have to make a grade of 75 to proceed. 

✓ Suggest taking the ICC exam as soon as possible once the course has been completed.

  You have 60 days to complete the course, or until the clock at the top counts down to zero, whichever comes first. You can't print your certificate until the clock runs to zero. If you try to log back on after the clock has run down to zero you will be locked out. So make sure you print your certificate just as soon as the clock runs out.

If you leave your computer to go do an inspection, talk on the phone, etc, you have to log out for the clock to stop. If you leave the computer, your computer is not going to know you are not sitting there reviewing the class and you will run out of time.
