There is an assignment which must be completed at the end of each module of the course. These are then submitted to your assigned tutor for assessment/marking.

The truth is, most native English speakers know very little about grammatical terms in their own language. In the TEFL/TESOL course, you will learn a lot about English grammar in the 'Grammar Awareness' module and you will have plenty of time to brush up on your English grammar whilst preparing and teaching lessons.

No, it is a misconception that you will be able to teach anywhere in the world with a TEFL/TESOL certificate. For example, even if you have a Bachelor's degree and a TEFL/TESOL qualification - you will find it next to impossible to find an English teaching position in Europe if you do not have an EU passport or the right to work there. So, always be sure to check the requirements for the country in which you wish to teach.

If you happen to fail an assignment (which very rarely happens due to the way the course is structured) - you will not be able to re-submit the assignment. The good news is that your average grade for all modules is taken into account - and this means that it is near impossible to fail.
