Introduction
This GDPR training course will outline your main responsibilities and help you to start making the necessary changes. There are many changes in the new regulation but the biggest changes under the GDPR are in relation to obtaining consent, the right to be forgotten and the appointment of a Data Protection Officer.
Our course will give you details of the changes, what you need to do and equip you with forms and checklists to ensure that your organisation and others that you work with are GDPR compliant.
What is GDPR?
The GDPR is Europe's new framework for data protection laws – it replaces the previous 1995 data protection directive, which current UK law is based upon.
The EU's GDPR website says the legislation is designed to "harmonise" data privacy laws across Europe as well as give greater protection and rights to individuals. Within the GDPR there are large changes for the public as well as businesses and bodies that handle personal information, which we'll explain in more detail later.
What do I/we need to do to become compliant with GDPR?
