Sweet History
Sugar comes from South East Asia and was first produced in India in very ancient times. It was first used as a juice until it was discovered how to turn the juice into sugar crystals in the 5th century. The first sugar plantations were established in China in the 7th century. Sugar was first brought to Europe by the soldiers of Alexander the Great who brought it back with them from India. During the 12th century, sugar was grown by the Venetians in the Middle East, and Venice became the main supplier of sugar to Europe.
Sugar cane was taken to America by Christopher Columbus and was grown there. The Portuguese also took sugarcane to Brazil and grew sugar there. Slaves were taken from Africa to America to grow the sugar. The sugar from America was then imported back to Europe and, by the 19th century, sugar was eaten by everyone. Jacub Rad invented sugar cubes in 1843. Now, sugar is found in nearly all kinds of food. Unfortunately, it causes obesity.

A.
True

If we want to specify who did the action, we use "by"
A.
True
B.
False
Correct Answer
A. True
Explanation When we want to specify the person or entity that performed an action, we use the preposition "by". This is commonly used in passive voice sentences, where the subject of the sentence is the receiver of the action rather than the doer. For example, "The book was written by John." In this case, "by" is used to indicate that John is the one who performed the action of writing the book. Therefore, the statement "If we want to specify who did the action, we use 'by'" is true.
